Finally told a client their leaky window was my fault and refunded $150

I was patching drywall in a living room in Portland and realized the water stain came from me not sealing the exterior trim right six months ago. I called them up, owned it, and sent the check. Has anyone else had to eat a mistake that cost more than the job was worth?

@the_kevin yeah but doesn't the timeline make it worse somehow... like you're just going about your life and then bam six months later it hits you. That's a whole lot of time to think you're in the clear. Makes me wonder if they knew about it all along and just sat on it.
