I finally fixed my grandma's old lamp after 6 years of putting it off
Last Tuesday I knocked over that old ceramic lamp she left me, and the base cracked clean off. Instead of just tossing it like I've thought about doing every time I moved it, I grabbed some epoxy from the hardware store down on 3rd street and glued it back together. Anyone else ever fix something sentimental that was easier to repair than you expected?

It is funny how we can put off things for years when they don't seem urgent. People do it with doctor visits, home repairs, and even important conversations, thinking they will get around to it later. But later just keeps stretching out until you realize half a decade has slipped by.
