I finally realized why that woman at the grocery store gave me a dirty look
Last Tuesday in the checkout line at Kroger, I handed the cashier my reusable bags and she said "finally someone who cares about the turtles." The woman behind me scoffed and muttered something about being in a hurry. Is it selfish to use plastic bags if it speeds things up for everyone else?

Ugh, I feel for you so much here. People can be so judgey over the smallest things and it really stinks when you're just trying to do your grocery run. The cashier probably meant well but that lady behind you was totally out of line, nobody should make you feel bad for being a decent person. You're not selfish at all for caring about the turtles, that's actually a really nice thing to do. Keep using your reusable bags and ignore the grumpy people, you're doing great!

Isn't it funny how people get upset about the smallest things when you're just trying to do some good? I had a similar thing happen at my local market last month, @piper_flores69, and it really makes you wonder why kindness bothers some folks so much.
