I found a way to get my neighbor's packages delivered to me when they're out of town, but now I'm wondering if it's actually okay.

Oh man, that's a slippery slope. I once watered a neighbor's plants and ended up with a key to their house, which is way too much power for me. You should probably just ask them first.

Honestly that key sounds like a vote of confidence, not a burden. Sometimes people are just bad at asking for help directly, and a small favor lets them know you're trustworthy. Jumping straight to a formal ask can make a simple thing feel like a big deal. Letting it happen naturally builds way better community ties.
