Library book I returned came back with a coffee stain that wasn't mine
So I dropped off a couple books at the branch on 14th street last Tuesday. One of them had a big ring stain on page 47 that I know for a fact I didn't cause. When I checked it out it was clean. Now I'm sitting here wondering if the person before me did it and it dried clear, or if the library worker spilled something after I handed it over. I took a photo of the stain but didn't say anything to the librarian. Do you guys speak up when you see damage you didn't make or just let it slide?

That coffee ring story reminds me of the time I found a banana peel bookmark in a returned DVD case at my local branch, totally bizarre. @daniel214 is probably right that nobody will notice it, but I'd still snap a photo next time just to cover yourself. Libraries are chill but you never know when someone might try to blame you for old damage.
