My neighbor called me out for leaving my porch light on all night
Last month my neighbor across the street finally told me my porch light was shining right into his bedroom window. I never even thought about it because I kept it on for security. He said it was keeping him up until 2 AM some nights. So I switched to a motion sensor bulb from Home Depot for $15. Now it only turns on when someone walks by. Has anyone else dealt with a light that bothers a neighbor?

Motion sensor was the right call. I did the exact same thing last summer after my retired neighbor two doors down left a note on my door. I felt bad because he's an early riser and my light was basically giving him a spotlight all night. The $15 motion sensor bulb from Lowe's fixed it in five minutes. I even pointed it down a little more so it only catches people right at my steps. Now it's bright when I need it but dark enough for him to sleep.
