Is it worth it though? I bought one once and it was a total pain to use. They made me use their specific shop and the part was on backorder for weeks. My car was just sitting there. I feel like they bank on you not needing it, or making it so hard to claim that you give up. Sometimes that money is better off just staying in your pocket.

Yeah, the "part on backorder for weeks" thing is the worst. I had a warranty claim that dragged on so long I almost forgot what driving felt like. Felt like @hayes.wesley's part-time job, but without the paycheck. My car just became a very expensive lawn ornament.
