Pro tip: That guy at the grocery store who corrected my kid's cart choice taught me something
Last Saturday at the Kroger on 5th Street, this older man stopped me while I was letting my 8-year-old pick out a bag of chips. He said, "You know that brand uses palm oil from deforested areas, right?" I didn't know that, and he wasn't rude about it - just factual. It made me think about how often I let convenience win over what's actually in the stuff I buy without saying anything. Has anyone else had a stranger point out something about a product that made you change your mind?

While I appreciate the concern, I think minding our own business in the checkout line is usually the better approach.
