PSA: I used to always take the free hotel soaps and shampoos
It hit me on a trip to Denver last fall when I saw a housekeeper's cart. I was just grabbing them out of habit, thinking it was a tiny perk. But I realized I had a drawer full at home I never used, and they probably just get thrown out if they're opened. Now I only take one if I actually need it that day. Anyone else change a small habit like that after seeing the bigger picture?

My bathroom cabinet looked like a tiny hotel supply depot until last year. I finally donated about fifty of those little bottles to a shelter.

Nice! I did the same thing with my stash of travel shampoos.

Noticed the same thing with my entire bathroom about two years ago. It's weird how we ALL fall for this marketing trap of buying the same stuff in different sizes. I had like eight half-used bottles of body wash just sitting there because I kept buying the bigger one "for the house" and the little ones "for travel" but never finished either. This whole thing made me realize how much stuff we buy just because it's packaged differently even though it's the exact same product inside.
