Spent 6 hours tracking down a weird rattle that was just a loose penny

Last Saturday I heard this annoying rattle in my car every time I hit a bump. I spent almost 6 hours tearing apart the center console, checking the glove box, and even pulling up floor mats. Turned out a single penny had slipped between the driver seat track and the floor. Felt like a complete idiot when I found it, but also kinda proud I didn't give up. The whole time I was debating if it was worth the effort or if I should just turn up the radio. Has anyone else wasted way too much time hunting down something that simple?

Nah six hours is nothing when it's about peace of mind, you know?

Six hours though? I gotta say, your mileage may vary but that feels like a lot for a penny. I mean, I get not wanting to just turn up the radio but after an hour or two you gotta ask if it's really that serious. Loose change makes a pretty specific sound and six hours suggests you were pulling stuff apart that probably wasn't ever gonna be the culprit. Not judging, just saying sometimes a rattle is just a rattle and a penny's not worth your whole Saturday.
