That 15 minute grocery run turned into a 2 hour ethics debate on reusable bags
Spent 45 minutes at the self checkout trying to decide if it's worse to buy plastic bags and feel guilty or forget my reusables for the 4th time and still buy them anyway has anyone else just stood there frozen between two bad options?

And honestly, we're all missing the fact that those 'eco-friendly' reusable bags have a carbon footprint too, like they need to be used hundreds of times just to break even with plastic bags. So standing there agonizing might actually be worse for the planet than just grabbing the plastic and moving on with your life. Tbh, the real ethical debate should be about how we're all just overthinking a grocery trip because the system makes us feel guilty instead of actually fixing the waste problem.

You know a friend of mine who's really into the environment? She spent like six months trying to figure out if it was better to buy oat milk in a carton or a plastic bottle. She finally just gave up and started drinking her coffee black.
