The $3.50 dilemma at the self checkout yesterday...

I was at the self checkout at Target in Lincoln yesterday, buying a pack of gum and some eggs. The scanner beeped weird on the gum and it didn't show up. The total was $3.50 less than it should have been. I stood there for a solid 30 seconds trying to decide if I should call the cashier over or just pay and leave. It's just a big corporation, right? They probably lose more money in broken carts than gum. But I kept thinking about how that error adds up over time, and how I'd be annoyed if someone did that to me. I flagged down the lady, she fixed it, and she didn't even say thanks... just grunted. Has anyone else had that moment where you debate if it's even worth reporting a small undercharge?

Nah, you should've just paid less. Target's not gonna miss it.

Eh, I think you did the right thing but I probably would've just paid and walked.
