Which neighbor gets your extra parking spot after the snow melts?
I live on a street in Denver where parking is tight, and after that 8 inch snow last Tuesday I shoveled out my spot and two extra ones. My neighbor on the left has a new baby and asked if I could save one for his wife. The guy on the right is elderly and walks with a cane. I could only clear enough for one extra spot, not both. I gave it to the elderly neighbor figuring the baby family could manage, but now the young dad won't look me in the eye. Did I pick wrong?

Nah, the elderly guy needed it more. The new dad will get over it, babies are tough but he can park a block away for a week. You did a solid thing.

Hold up @kelly968, i mean, is it really that big of a deal? Dude could have parked a block away for a week and been fine, yeah, but so could the elderly guy. Not like carrying a bag of groceries is the same as carrying a newborn and a car seat in the rain. Maybe it's just me but making someone with a screaming baby walk extra in the cold feels kind of harsh too. I guess it depends on how far the spot was, but neither situation sounds life or death to me.
