Charging cord kept falling behind my desk, so I grabbed a binder clip and a command hook

Last Tuesday I was trying to plug in my laptop and the charging brick kept sliding off the edge of my desk, then the cord would fall behind it. I got annoyed after the third time crawling underneath to fish it out. So I clipped a binder clip onto the desk edge right where the cord runs, then looped the cord through the clip handle. Keeps it from wandering off and it cost me zero dollars since I already had the clip. Has anyone else used binder clips for something dumb like this?

I used to roll my eyes at these little desk hacks thinking they were just clutter in the making. But then my phone charger cord kept sliding off my nightstand every single night. I tried a binder clip after seeing this idea and honestly it changed my tune. Now I've got clips holding cords at my desk, by the couch, even one holding my tablet cord to the kitchen counter. It's such a simple fix that actually works way better than I expected.

Keep going with the binder clip idea @sethmartinez, I started using them to hold my charging cables in place on my nightstand too. It totally fixed that annoying cord slipping problem and now I clip all my desk cables the same way. Honestly the simplest fixes end up being the most useful ones around the house.
