Discovered a zip tie trick that saved my vacuum cleaner

Last week my Dyson vacuum kept losing suction and I was ready to toss it. I watched a video from a repair guy in Chicago who said to check the hose for clogs. Turns out a sock got stuck near the bend, and I couldn't reach it with anything. I taped a zip tie to a chopstick and fished it out in like 3 minutes. The suction came back 100% and I saved $150 on a new machine. Has anyone else tried something weird to unclog a hose?

Wait wait wait, a sock got stuck in your vacuum hose? How does that even happen, did it just yeet itself in there while you were vacuuming? That's wild, but I'm impressed you MacGyvered it with a zip tie and a chopstick.
