Lost a whole Sunday to a cheap air hose reel from the hardware store

I picked up one of those $30 plastic air hose reels three years ago thinking I was saving money... it jammed up on the third use and I spent hours trying to unspool it in the driveway. After breaking two retainer clips trying to fix it, I finally tossed it and bought a metal one for $80 that's still working fine. Anybody else waste cash on a tool that just made their day worse?

Man, that's the worst feeling when you try to save a few bucks and it backfires like that. The real hidden cost nobody talks about is the time you lose wrestling with a cheap tool, which is way more valuable than the money you saved. I'd rather pay more upfront than waste another Sunday cussing at a plastic spool in my driveway.
