Pro tip: Use a binder clip to keep your charging cable from slipping off the counter
I was in my kitchen in Denver last Tuesday, trying to charge my phone on the counter, but the cable kept sliding off and the plug would fall out. I grabbed a medium-sized binder clip from my desk drawer and clamped it to the edge of the counter, then ran the cable through the metal loops. It held the plug steady all day, and now I’ve got one on every counter in my house. Anyone else find a weird use for binder clips around the house?

Oh man, I actually tried both ways and ended up looking like a complete doofus the first time. I just clamped the binder clip to the counter and let the cable dangle through the loops, but then I bumped the table and the whole thing went flying anyway. So now I definitely thread the cable through the metal arms, it takes an extra two seconds but at least my phone doesn't end up on the floor. And honestly, with how clumsy I am, I need all the help I can get. You ever try the binder clip thing for holding a phone stand or is that just me being extra?

Wait, do you just use the clamp part or do you actually thread the cable through the metal arms? Because I feel like threading would be a pain if you need to unplug it.
