Spent $200 on a robot vacuum and it made cleaning harder for me

Honestly I used to be all about robot vacuums thinking they were some sort of genius cleaning hack but your post really changed my mind. Ngl I can see how a $200 model might just bounce off furniture or miss corners and actually eat up time you thought you'd save. Tbh I'm rethinking my whole approach now because sometimes the old manual way just works better.

Time you thought you'd save" - that's the whole thing right there. I mean come on, are we really talking about saving like 15 minutes a day with these things? Unless you're scrubbing floors with a toothbrush by hand, a basic vacuum does the job just fine. People act like they're running a marathon every time they have to sweep. It's not that deep. Just grab the vacuum, run it for a few minutes, done. No need to overthink household chores like it's rocket science, you know?
