Wasted $60 on a fancy kettle that boils in 45 seconds
Bought one of those rapid boil kettles thinking it'd save me time in the morning. Turns out my old $15 one only takes 90 seconds anyway and the new one started leaking after 3 months. Anyone else get tricked by the speed hype?

Oh I felt this one in my SOUL. $60 for a kettle that breaks in 3 months is such a scam. I got the same type last year, the one with the stainless steel finish and the blue light, and mine started making this weird rattling noise after like two months. The speed difference is literally nothing, 45 seconds vs 90 seconds is not worth the extra cash. And now I'm just back to using my old plastic kettle that's been going strong for 4 years. Hope you can get your money back somehow, those things are just not built to last.

Yeah but did the blue light actually do anything useful?
