Bought a $30 set of binder clips for kitchen organization, best money I ever spent

I was tossing old takeout containers and lids all over the place and getting annoyed digging for matching ones. Saw a tip online to clip the lids to the containers with binder clips before stacking them. I grabbed a 50-pack at the dollar store for $3 and it cleared up half my cabinet. Has anyone else found a cheap fix that made a cluttered space suddenly make sense?

Just gonna say it - binder clips for takeout containers feels like overthinking a problem that has a simpler solution. Dollar store lids might not be fancy but they seal fine and you can just toss the original container when it gets gross. Been there with the clip stacking thing and honestly after a month the clips started rusting from the moisture in my cabinet. Not to mention my cheap brain can't justify paying any amount of money for something that's essentially trash management. Would stacking things differently have worked just as well without buying anything at all?

dude the command hooks thing is genius, i did the same thing but with velcro strips on the inside of my cabinet doors for all my measuring spoons and the little bag clips that always disappear. the binder clip thing for takeout lids though, i feel you on the moisture issue, i switched to those little silicone bands that stretch over any size container, got a 20 pack for like 5 bucks and they dont rust or get gross, plus they double as jar openers when the lid is stuck. actually been using the bands to keep my chip bags closed too, way better than the clips that always slide off. the whole cheap fix thing just clicks when you stop trying to buy the fancy version and start looking at dollar store bins and basic hardware stuff.

Grabbed a pack of command hooks at the dollar store and stuck them on the inside of my pantry door. Now I hang measuring cups, spatulas, and even my little kitchen scale on them instead of digging through a drawer every time. It cost maybe $4 and freed up SO much drawer space I actually have room for my rolling pin now. The trick is to put the hooks close enough together that things don't bump into each other when the door closes. Been using them for like two years and they still hold strong. It's one of those things where I keep wondering why I didn't do it sooner.
