Hot take: washing dishes by hand vs the dishwasher - one is clearly faster
I timed myself last Tuesday, hand washing a full sink load took 23 minutes but the dishwasher took 1.5 hours plus my wife complained about unloading. Has anyone else found a morning routine that actually makes unloading less annoying?

Well now, I've got a trick that might help you out. I unload the dishwasher first thing while my coffee's brewing, just pulling out the clean stuff and leaving it on the counter. Then I load the dirty dishes as I go through my morning, and by the time I'm done eating breakfast it's running. That way the unloading never feels like a big chore since I'm already standing there waiting for coffee anyway. It saves you that annoyed feeling of coming home to a cold dishwasher full of clean plates.

Tbh I've been in that exact spot so many times. The cold dishwasher thing used to drive me nuts. I started doing something similar but I just pull out the clean stuff while I'm waiting for my toast to pop. It takes maybe 2 minutes and then I can load dirty dishes right after. Honestly it's way better than coming home to that stale dish smell. The trick is just pairing it with something you already do anyway, like waiting for coffee or toast.
