My neighbor swore by olive oil spray for cleaning stainless steel

Last Saturday I was scrubbing my fridge door like crazy trying to get rid of greasy fingerprints and water spots. My neighbor from three houses down came over to borrow a ladder and saw me fighting with a paper towel. She told me to grab a can of plain olive oil cooking spray and a clean cloth instead of using fancy stainless steel cleaner. I honestly thought she was pulling my leg, but I was desperate so I gave it a shot. You spray a tiny bit on the cloth, rub it on the metal in circles, then buff it dry. The results were honestly shocking, the smudges vanished and the surface looked way shinier than any bottle I bought from the store. Has anyone else tried using cooking spray on appliances or did I just get lucky?

Whoa, I totally thought this was some kind of old wives' tale the first time someone told me about it! I always figured the oil would just make things look greasy and gross, but I finally tried it on my dishwasher front last month and it was a total game changer. The spray really does cut through the smudges better than the expensive stuff from the store, and it leaves a nice even shine without any streaks. I was pretty skeptical at first, but now it's literally all I use on my appliances.

Just go easy on the oil or you'll get buildup around the edges.
