Rant: the self-checkout at that Walmart on Route 9 in Paramus is a trap

I went there last Tuesday to grab a few things and watched three people in a row get stuck because the scale wouldn't register their bag of carrots. Has anyone else noticed those machines glitch out more than they help?

Those carrot bags always set the scale off.

I was at that same Paramus Walmart last month and I actually used to defend those self-checkout machines, figured people just needed to be more patient. But then I watched a lady spend eight minutes trying to get her green peppers to register while a manager had to come over and swipe his card three times. Changed my mind completely. Those carrot bags and any weird shaped produce just mess with the scale every time.
