That $15 magnetic phone mount from Amazon almost ruined my car's dash
Stuck it on during a hot day in Dallas and the adhesive failed after 3 months, sending my phone flying into the gear shifter while I was turning left. Anyone else had those sticky pads give out at the worst time?

Happened to a buddy of mine in Phoenix. He had one of those magnetic mounts stuck on his dash for about two weeks before it let go on a bumpy road. His phone bounced off the passenger seat and landed right in his cup holder full of soda. Took him like 20 minutes to clean that sticky mess out of the charging port. He just uses a vent clip now and says he'll never trust adhesive mounts again.
