That $60 heated mattress pad lasted exactly one winter before dying on me
Bought a Sunbeam heated mattress pad last November at Target, worked great for about 4 months, then one side just stopped heating up. Has anyone else had luck with a brand that actually holds up longer than a season?

Did you check if the warranty covers it, or did you just toss it?

Right? Same thing happened with my TV last year. I just assumed it was dead and almost threw it in the dumpster. Then my buddy was like "dude did you even check the warranty?" Looked it up and turns out I had 11 months left on the panel warranty. Got a whole new screen for free. Now I always check before tossing anything. It's crazy how many manufacturers bury that info in fine print but it's worth digging through the paperwork.
