Tried store brand trash bags vs name brand and the difference was wild
My wife bought the cheap store brand ones from Food Lion for $5 for a box of 50. First bag ripped when I pulled it out of the bin with like three coffee grounds in it. Next morning I grabbed a Glad ForceFlex bag from the last box and that one held a week's worth of messy kitchen scraps no problem. I know name brands mark stuff up but sometimes the cheap version is just false economy. Has anyone else found a store brand that actually holds up?

Why is it always the basic stuff where cheaping out backfires the worst? Seems like a pattern with everything now - pay a little more up front or pay the same money twice for the junk version.

I switched to the Costco brand Kirkland trash bags a few years back and they're actually the exact same as the Glad ones just cheaper. Like I did the side by side and they look identical same thickness same stretchy plastic. But yeah the cheap grocery store ones from Food Lion or Walmart Great Value are garbage I learned that lesson after cleaning up a broken bag of wet trash off my kitchen floor at 6 AM. kirkland ones are like $12 for 200 and they hold up way better than any other store brand I've tried. Might be worth seeing if a friend has a Costco membership to grab a box, they're basically the only store brand where you actually save money without getting junk.
