Bought a $40 phone mount for my car and it's been a total headache

I got it because my old one broke and I needed something for maps. It has this big clamp that's supposed to stick to the dash, but it won't stay put on warm days. My phone fell off twice on my drive home from work, and the adhesive left a weird mark. Has anyone found a good mount that actually holds up?
