Honestly, the grocery store had two checkout lines and I picked the wrong one

Tbh, I was at Kroger yesterday with just a basket of stuff. One line had a person with a full cart, the other had a guy with just a six-pack. I went for the six-pack line. Ngl, his card got declined, then he had to run to his car for cash. My quick choice turned into a 10-minute wait. Anyone else have a simple choice that just blew up in your face?

Actually, I think you made the right call. That line was still the better bet, you just got unlucky. Sometimes the smart move just has a random bad outcome.
