I used to just shove all my cords into a drawer, but after a move in Denver, I saw the light

I mean, I spent 20 minutes untangling a single HDMI cable from a rat's nest before a client meeting. Now I use those cheap velcro ties from the hardware store on everything, and I can actually find what I need. Anyone have a better system for keeping a laptop bag organized?

My old laptop bag was a black hole for pens and loose USB drives. Honestly, I started using a cheap pencil case inside it just for all the small stuff. It looks a bit dorky but at least I'm not digging around like a raccoon anymore.

Why stop at just one pencil case? I've got a whole system of small bags inside my laptop bag, one for cables, one for adapters, even a tiny one for thumb drives. Doesn't it just become a bag full of bags that you still have to dig through? I found that method just added more steps.
