My suitcase zipper didn't burst this time, a personal best
After years of overpacking, I got all my stuff for a three-day trip into a carry-on. It feels like a small win against the usual mess.

Zippers don't really burst, they just break. But hey, still a huge win on the packing front.

My old hiking bag had a zipper fail last year and I called it bursting. You're totally right though, it just broke at the seam. That's actually a helpful way to look at it for fixing stuff.
