Overheard a mom at the park tell her kid 'we don't have to rush' and it hit me how much I rush through my own mornings.
Honestly, I heard that and then counted that I say 'hurry up' to myself at least five times before 9 AM, usually while making coffee and trying to find my keys.

But what if rushing gets you where you need to be?

You said rushing gets you where you need to be. That's how I ended up in the ER last year with a broken ankle from tripping on the stairs. I was late for a train. Rushing just means you make more mistakes and miss important stuff. It might get you there faster, but you won't be in good shape when you arrive. I'd rather be five minutes late and in one piece.
