PSA: Modern TV remotes are all touch screens, and it's annoying.
I was trying to change the channel last night and kept hitting the wrong spot on the remote. It made me think about how remotes with actual buttons were easier to work with without looking. Do you ever wish for the simple click of a physical button again?

Yeah I got so fed up with mine that I went and found an old universal remote at a thrift store. It has real buttons and everything. Now I can actually feel what I'm pressing while watching a show. The touch screen thing looks cool but it's just not practical when you're trying to do something simple like turn the volume down. I keep the fancy remote in a drawer for the rare times I need the menu. They keep fixing things that weren't broken.

But have you actually given the touch screen a real chance? I used to hate mine too until I stopped trying to use it like a button remote... swiping through menus is way faster once you get the hang of it, kind of like @adam_wells5 said. The old remotes feel clunky to me now, and I never mis-click because I'm looking at the screen anyway. It just seems like we get stuck in our ways and call it "fixing what isn't broken" when maybe it actually needed an update.

I get what you mean about keeping the fancy remote in a drawer. I've actually gotten used to the touch screen for everything except volume. It feels quicker for me to swipe through menus instead of clicking a bunch of buttons. Maybe it's just a different way of doing things.
