Rant: I finally hit 100 five-star reviews on my business page after a client said my work was 'like a magic trick'.
It matters because for years I thought no one really noticed the small details, like lining up all the shampoo bottles or getting the baseboards perfectly clean, but hitting that number quietly proved me wrong.

Friend of mine runs a small bakery. She got a review once that just said "the sprinkles are placed perfectly." She framed that one.

A hundred five star reviews is a big number, but is a clean baseboard really that deep? People leave good reviews for all kinds of reasons, maybe they were just in a good mood that day. I get that it feels good to be noticed, but it's still just cleaning. Are we putting too much weight on a star rating system that lots of people barely think about?
