The coffee at my office used to be decent, now it tastes like burnt water.

They switched from a local roaster to a cheap bulk brand about three months ago to save maybe $50 a month, and now my whole morning routine is ruined.

Fifty bucks a month? That's what they ruined the coffee for? I'd gladly chip in a few dollars myself to get the good stuff back.

Actually the math on that is pretty wild. Our old floor had about 80 people. If everyone chipped in that "few dollars," say five bucks, that's already four hundred a month. That buys a LOT of good coffee. Management just went for the cheapest bid.

Yeah I used to think the same way as you honestly. I figured management had some reason for the switch or it was just a minor downgrade. But seeing that math laid out like that...$400 a month for good coffee? That changes my whole take on it. They didn't have to go cheap, they just chose to. And for what? Saving maybe $100 a month compared to the good stuff? That's nothing in a company budget. It's insulting when you realize they're pinching pennies on something that literally affects everyone's day. I'm with you now, they had plenty of room to do better and just didn't bother.
