Dish soap and hot water actually saved me last week on a slow drain. I poured about a quarter cup of Dawn down there, let it sit for 15 minutes, then flushed it with boiling water. @sethmartinez is right, some mornings feel like a nightmare of decisions, but that trick bought me enough time to call a plumber later.
