Vent: My new coffee maker quit after just two weeks

I bought a fancy new BrewerMax machine from the Target on Oak Street, and it worked great until yesterday morning when it just stopped heating. I followed the manual, checked the plug, everything. I guess I'm in the minority, but I don't think a $90 appliance should fail that fast. Has anyone else had a BrewerMax just give up on them?

Sounds like your BrewerMax took the "two week trial period" a bit too literally. Maybe it read the fine print about being a temporary kitchen guest. That's some premium planned obsolescence for a mid-range coffee maker. At least my old drip machine had the decency to wait a full year before its heating element staged a protest.
