Found a cheap trick to fix worn out hoof nippers

Had a pair of nippers that wouldn't cut clean last month, and instead of dropping $120 on new ones I tried grinding the edge at a different angle with a cheap bench grinder from Harbor Freight. Has anyone else sharpened their own nippers instead of replacing them

Tried that once... ended up with nippers shaped more like my mistakes than a blade.

Used to think it was all about having good tools. Then I messed up a nice piece of steel trying to save time. That day taught me technique matters more than the blade.
