PSA: Hard water in the northern counties can wreck your forge gear

I was up in Mason County last week and the local water supply messed up my cooling system. Had to stop early to prevent damage to my tools. What do you all do when the water quality is bad on site?

Man, that's rough... did you test the water before you started or just notice the problem once things got going?

How bad is it really? Testing the water before starting isn't always needed. Problems often look worse at first, lol.
