Just tried two different ways to make a fabric pattern for a jacket
Honestly, I was working on a bomber jacket design last week and needed a cool pattern for the lining. First, I tried cutting the fabric with regular scissors and it looked messy and uneven. Then I bought a rotary cutter for like $25 and used it with a cutting mat. The lines were so much cleaner and it saved me a ton of time, maybe an hour total. Has anyone else found a tool that made a huge difference in their sewing?

Wow, a laser cutter for fabric is a total game changer for complex patterns.

Game changer? Not for me. The burnt edge smell gets everywhere. And it can melt some synthetics.

Lol my version of a game changer was realizing I should trace the pattern first instead of just eyeballing it. I ruined so much fabric doing the "close enough" method. A rotary cutter sounds way smarter than my old tricks.
