My friend in Seattle said to use a cheap shower curtain liner for pattern drafting.
It's way more see through than muslin and only costs about 5 bucks, so you can really check the fit. Has anyone tried this with a specific brand that doesn't tear easy?

Actually, muslin is usually cheaper per yard than a decent liner...

Wait... hold on. "Muslin is usually cheaper per yard than a decent liner"... are you serious? I've been paying like $12 a yard for muslin at my local craft store thinking I was getting a bargain. That's wild if true. I just bought some yesterday for a test garment and thought I was saving money over the $18 liner stuff. Now I feel like I've been ripped off this whole time.
