My niece asked why all her dresses have to be pink or blue
She's 7, and it made me realize how much I just accepted those old rules. Anyone else designing kids' clothes that ditch the tired color codes?

My buddy's kid wanted a dinosaur shirt, but all the "boy" ones were green or gray. They found this awesome purple one online (with a stegosaurus, no less) and the kid wears it every week.

Read a study showing kids pick favorite colors before gender stereotypes even kick in.

I mean, it's wild how stores just decide what colors go with what themes. Like, purple is a royal color, right? So a purple dinosaur shirt should feel extra special, not like it's breaking some rule. Maybe it's just me, but I bet that kid loves it because it feels unique, not just another gray shirt.
