My organic fabric switch drove away customers, no regrets

I decided to only use recycled materials for my new collection. This made my clothes way more expensive to make. Some of my best clients said they couldn't pay the higher prices. I had to cancel a big order because they wanted cheaper fabric. But I think it's wrong to harm the environment for fast fashion. I'm keeping my standards high, even if it means less money. Maybe one day people will value ethical design more.

So how do you plan to keep the lights on while you wait for people to catch up with your values? It's a tough spot, sticking to your guns when it hits the wallet. Are you looking for a different kind of customer now, or just hoping your old ones come around?

Wait, have you thought about how much fabric waste you're actually stopping? Like, if those cheap clothes fall apart in a year and get tossed, versus your stuff lasting years, maybe the math works out for the planet even with fewer pieces sold.
