My professor said my color-block dress looked like a 'walking traffic cone'

I swapped the neon orange for a burnt sienna and now the whole silhouette actually works. Anyone else get a critique that was harsh but totally right?

Did your professor really say that out loud in class? That's such a blunt way to give feedback, even if it was helpful. Good on you for taking it and making a great change.

Honestly used to hate blunt feedback, thought it was just mean. But @diana238 is onto something, that push can show you the obvious thing you missed. My painting teacher once said my clouds looked like dirty cotton balls, and switching to a cooler blue totally fixed it.
