Spent $200 on a fabric swatch book and it totally changed my process
Honestly, I was getting tired of ordering random samples online and waiting for them to arrive. So I bought a big swatch book from a local supplier for about two hundred bucks. It has like 200 different fabrics, from heavy twills to light linens, all in one binder. Now I can just flip through it when I'm sketching and feel the texture right away. Has anyone else found a good swatch book they'd recommend?

Wish I had jones.blake's foresight before buying ten separate samples of the same ugly brown linen.

Yeah, the part about waiting for random samples online really hits home. I used to waste so much time trying to picture a fabric from a tiny photo. Having that binder where you can just flip and feel the weight of a canvas or the drape of a linen while you're working is a total game changer. It just makes the whole idea-to-reality process so much faster and more real.
