Warning: I just found out my 'designer' fabric was a cheap knockoff

I was working on a coat project for a client in Portland and the wool twill I ordered felt wrong. It was listed as 'Italian mill' but the selvage edge had a weird, blurry logo. I called the supplier and after a long hold, they admitted it was a domestic blend they'd been passing off. I've been using them for three years. Has anyone else been burned by a fabric supplier recently?

Oh man, that's the worst. You spend all that time trusting a source and they pull a fast one like that. Classic case of getting what you pay for, except you thought you were paying for the good stuff. Makes you want to go back and check the selvage on every scrap you've got left.
