Was sure those 'zero waste' pattern blocks were a gimmick, tried one out of spite
I've been sewing for about 12 years now, mostly costumes and everyday stuff. My friend kept pushing this one designer's zero waste pattern for a simple blouse, and I kept rolling my eyes. Finally gave in last month and bought the PDF for $14. I had to print and tape 32 pages together, which was annoying. But after cutting it out, there was literally a scrap pile smaller than my palm. It actually fit without any major tweaks too. Has anyone else had luck with these patterns, or am I just lucky with this one?

32 pages for a single blouse? That's dedication, I would have lost my mind by page 10.

Wait did you actually count the pages or just guess? That's wild if you sat there flipping through all 32. I gotta ask tho like what kind of blouse needed that many pages? Was it some super complex vintage pattern with darts and collars and sleeves and all that? Or was it one of those modern patterns that waste space with huge diagrams and multiple views for the same thing?
