Counting my fast food receipts from this year hit a shocking $1,200, which has me debating if the convenience is worth the cost versus learning to cook more.
That number made me realize I'm basically paying a monthly car note for burgers and fries, so should we value the time saved or is that just an excuse for lazy spending?

Kevin218's "convenience tax" is a perfect name for that shocking $1,200 total.

Man I feel this, my own receipt pile looks like a crime scene. I tell myself it's about saving time after long shifts, but honestly half the time I'm just too tired to even microwave something. That convenience tax adds up way faster than you notice.
