I finally tried the spicy chicken sandwich from Popeyes after avoiding it for ages

I mean, I always thought it was just hype, but my friend got one in front of me last Tuesday and the smell alone made me cave. I took one bite and idk, the crunch and that pepper sauce were way better than the one I usually get from the place down the street. Has anyone else had a fast food item they swore off but then totally loved?

Right? It was wild reading about how they basically invented the whole idea of putting fries right on the sandwich. That one move made every other place have to step up their game.

Ha! Right? It's like they accidentally stumbled onto something brilliant and now every burger joint is scrambling to cram fries into everything. I half expect someone to start serving a burger with a side of fries on top of a pizza inside a taco shell at this point (don't give them any ideas). Honestly though, that sandwich is the reason I can't enjoy a plain burger and fries anymore without feeling like I'm missing out on something. Thanks a lot for that, whoever came up with it.
