Question about the Chick-fil-A hype after a terrible Tuesday in Phoenix

I waited 45 minutes in the drive-thru line last week for a basic chicken sandwich that was just okay, and I honestly don't get why everyone acts like it's the best thing ever, has anyone else had a totally average experience there?

Maybe the hype is more about the polite service and clean stores than the food itself.

Honestly, the clean stores are a big draw for me because my kitchen at home looks like a crime scene after a double shift. At least there I can pretend I have my life together while sipping a passable cup of coffee. The food's fine, but it's really the illusion of being a functioning adult that keeps me coming back.
