That week in Austin last July when we hit 105 and the concrete mix started setting before we could get the post holes dug

We lost three full days because the mud was curing in the bucket before we even got it in the ground, and the foreman just said 'get it done faster' like that was going to help anything.

@patking we did the ice water trick too and it saved that whole week for us.

The trick we figured out on a similar job was to keep the mix water in a cooler with ice, then add it right before pouring. It gave us maybe 10 extra minutes of workable time before the concrete started going off. Worth trying if you can get the foreman to sign off on the extra cooler and ice.
